X Factor hopeful exposed as former fraudster who used England player’s credit card
First Kayleigh Taylor was revealed as a former Jeremy Kyle show guest and now it has emerged hopeful Aidan Salter was once convicted of credit card fraud.
The 28-year-old, who will appear on the hit ITV show tonight under the name Aidan Martin, was arrested after he tried to used a stolen Mastercard card in a restaurant in 2010.
The Mirror reports that Aidan tried to use the plastic a total of five times in London’s West End.
“Although it’s no excuse, I was much younger when this happened”
Two years later the wannabe singer admitted fraud by false representation and possession of an article for use in fraud.
The card belonged to rugby union and England player Lawrence Dallaglio.
Confirming the claims, Aiden said: “Although it’s no excuse, I was much younger when this happened.
“It was incredibly stupid and something I entirely regret.”
A source added: “Aiden has been working hard to turn his life around.
“He’s moved on and really hopes The X Factor is an opportunity for him to make something of his life.”
Meanwhile, Grace Davies has also been caught out for embellishing the truth.
The 20-year-old wowed the nation last week during her audition, however she has already performed with X Factor runner-up Olly Murs and also lived with X Factor finalist Janet Devlin.
In fact, Grace is even signed to the same management company.
