The Girls Aloud star explained to Emma Willis during her winner’s interview: “I was in a short term relationship before I entered the house.
“I had just been seeing someone for a matter of weeks.”
Revealing how she and Chad came about organically, she continued: “I never even thought of any of the guys like that when I first came in.
“I would like a future with Chad definitely”
“Me and Chad found common ground and he became by best friend, he has been my rock.
“I had to make a really difficult decision and it killed me that I could’t explained myself.”
Directly addressing rumours the fling was just for show, Sarah continued: “I wouldn’t have jeopardised things for a fake romance.
“As for the future, I think we are going to see what happens.
“I would like a future with Chad definitely.”
Sarah previously told housemate Jemma Lucy that Chad intends to remain in the UK until his visa runs out.
Fuelling speculation that she would ditch England for good for her new man, she added: “I’ve just sold my house.
“I’m ready for a new chapter so we will have to see.
“I want people to see I am more than just the blonde lary one from Girls Aloud.”
Though don’t expect a string of magazine deals, Sarah also revealed she has no intention of blasting her romance all over the tabloids.
