Speaking at the X Factor press day, the “supposedly” 39-year-old said: “I wish I was lying about my age!
“That’s something that sucks, I’ve never lied about my age. I should have started a while ago.”
Looking over at her fellow judge, the Pussycat Dolls star joked: “I’m just really grateful Louis is still with us.”
Nicole’s comments come after Louis gave an explosive interview with heat magazine, claiming that the brunette babe wasn’t being entirely truthful about her birthday.
The longest-serving judge sniped: “Nicole may be out really late the night before filming, but she’s still on it.
“It’s great that she can still do all of it at her age.
“Nobody knows what age she is, but she’s older than she says she is.”
When asked about the interview in front Nicole, Louis quickly changed tack: “I was joking!” he hurriedly said, before telling the journalist that asked she was “going to hell”.
But while Nicole may not be lying about her age, she is lying about having never lied about her age (in this increasingly tangled web).
In 2008, the singer confessed that she was actually 30, despite it being listed on the Pussycat Dolls website that was 28.
But if there is one thing we can all agree on, it’s that no matter how old Nicole is, she looks fantastic.
The X Factor starts on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd September at 8pm on ITV.
