The panelists were discussing Prince George’s first day at school, and what Thomas’s School in Battersea, where he will be going, is like.
The conversation then turned to whether children should have best friends or not, as Thomas’s doesn’t encourage children to have them.
Jane Moore, who knows the school as she lives in the area, revealed: “It’s a really great little school actually, for the reasons I think that it really focuses on kindness, it’s a really big thing in that school and the pastoral care is amazing.
“They’ve got these really cute reception classes that are sort of different to the rest of the school, a bit like a nursery, tiny chairs,” she continued.
“It’s a school that really expects parental involvement. The parents are very heavily involved in the school so they [Kate and William] will be as well,” she went on.
“There’s a policy that if you’re child is having a party, unless every child in the class is invited you don’t give out the invites in class, which I think is quite a good thing as you don’t feel excluded.”
“There are signs everywhere saying be kind, thats the ethos of the school. They don’t encourage you to have best friends.”
Saira Khan had a strong opinion on the matter, as she met her best friend when she was in school at 11.
She told her co-stars that she loved having her best friend because she knew her better than anyone, and that all of her friends knew that Joanna would always be number one.
Jane Moore jumped in: “That’s fine, we can all cope with that we are not your best friends, but put yourself…”
She was then cut off with the noise of Andrea McLean crying as she dabbed her face with a tissue.
Andrea wept: “I thought it was me.”
Luckily it was all just a joke and the conversation moved on to whether best friends could lead to feeling excluded in schools.
This isn’t the first time that Loose Women have feuded on air.
Linda Robson, who appeared on the show today, came under fire as she branded Stacey Solomon “desperate” for dressing up like Elsa from Frozen.
Luckily that was all a joke too – Loose Women do love to tease us don’t they?
The show continues tomorrow at 12.30pm on ITV.
