The rapper is currently receiving treatment in Chicago’s Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was transferred Sunday night.
A representative for Lil Wayne — real name Dwayne Michael Carter — has confirmed to TMZ that he suffered multiple seizures.
The 34-year-old is currently resting, and his upcoming shows in Las Vegas have been cancelled.
This isn’t the first time the dad-of-four has been forced to postpone shows due to illness.
The How To Love musician suffered seizures last year, whilst onboard a flight.
In 2013 – after spending several days in a Los Angeles medical facility – Lil Wayne opened up to Power 106 radio station about his epilepsy.

A concerned fan
Following the Cash Money star’s hospitalisation last night, fans have flooded social media with messages of support.
One concerned follower tweeted: “I’m honestly worried. I hope Lil Wayne is OK. I love you.”
Another said: “Please send your prayers to Wayne. He needs us.”
“Let’s pray for Lil Wayne. He will beat this,” a hopeful fan wrote.
Carter famously signed a deal with Cash Money Records when he was just nine years old.
In recent years, he has been responsible for kickstarting the careers of fellow rappers Drake and Nicki Minaj.
