GAME of Thrones fans have lots of questions about the Night King.

MOTIVE: Does the Night King want to destroy the Children of the Forest’s magic?

Why did it take him so long to take her army to The Wall? What will he do once he crosses it?

Now, it seems one ingenious fan has come up with a solution to one of those questions at least.

It comes following another user realised the secret behind Jon Snow’s name was revealed way back in season one.

Reddit user twerkmileyyy predicts that the Night King is travelling towards the God’s Eye.

DESTRUCTION: The Night King tore down The Wall near the God’s Eye

The God’s Eye is the largest lake in Westeros, southeast of the Riverlands, which doesn’t sound very important.

But, in the books, the Isle of Faces is said to be in the middle of it, which is home of all of the traditions and secrets of the Children of the Forest.

The Reddit user reckons the Night King has been denied passage to the lake, meaning he now wants to remove all obstacles.

SCARY: The Night King now has Viserion on his side

“I think his end goal is to reach the Isle of Faces and use its magical properties to give life to his undead army”

They say: “Ultimately, I think his end goal is to reach the Isle of Faces and use its magical properties to give life to his undead army.”

The part of The Wall which was targeted by Viserion’s blue fire is closest to the lake, making perfect sense.

A second user, baatezu, goes even further with the theory, tying in another speculation that Bran Stark is the Night King.

They think Bran is orchestrating everything in order to bring peace to Westeros, which means becoming the Night King.

GOOD GUY?: Fans think Bran is the Night King and is trying to bring peace to Westeros

They write: “He will destroy the ancient Children of the Forest magic, and it turns everyone from wights back into fully healthy humans, exactly as they were the moment of their death.”

Worryingly, and perhaps rather unbelievably, they think the Night King will kill every other main player before destroying the magic, thus reviving every single person who has died in the series.

Game of Thrones season eight is set to air late 2018 or early 2019.
