Daniel Craig confirms who will play Bond in upcoming film
It was rumoured he was to reprise his role in two more Bond flicks after securing himself a whopping £47million pay cheque.
The British actor confirmed the rumours were true during his appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
Daniel – who has appeared in four Bond flicks – was asked once and for all if he would play James Bond for a fifth time.
“I have been quite cagey about it,” he began.
“I have been quite cagey about it”
“I have been doing interviews all day and people have been asking me and I think I’ve been rather coy. But kind of felt like if I was going to speak the truth I should speak truth to you.
Stephen then replies: “We could use some good news here. Daniel Craig, will you return as James Bond?”
To which Daniel replies “Yes” which was met by cheers from the gleeful audience members.
The 49-year-old previously stated he would rather “slash his wrists” than be Bond again, but he has the perfect excuse for his hastiness.
David said he gave the line just two days after Spectre finished shooting and he was battling exhaustion.
He said: “Instead of saying something with style and grace, I said something really stupid.”
However, the next Bond blockbuster – which is due out in 2019 – will be his last…apparently.
“I think this is it,” Daniel continued.
“I just want to go out on a high note. I can’t wait.”
