Catherine Tyldesley revealed she had a “breakdown” while filming stunts for Eva Price’s wedding.
But those nuptials aren’t the only ones set for Corrie’s first week of six episodes, starting September 18.
Her fiancé’s soon-to-be mother-in-law Jenny Bradley is gearing up to wed Johnny Connor, too.
Jenny’s mother figure Rita Tanner has been struggling with her memory recently and she’s hospitalised during the soap’s big week.
It puts Jenny’s wedding in doubt as she and Johnny rush to the hospital, having to do without their horse-drawn carriage to the venue.
Instead, they arrive on the back of motorbikes, which actress Sally Ann Matthews admitted was “terrifying”.
“I had massive bruises on my knees because the only thing I could liken it to was horse-riding”

Speaking at a Corrie press day, Sally told Daily Star Online: “I am totally risk averse. I do all talk, no action.”
She explained: “We had Tattitude and Toothless, who are proper Hell’s Angels, and they were absolutely amazing.
“I had massive bruises on my knees because the only thing I could liken it to was horse-riding, so I just gripped on. I was cacking it!”
The question is, will Jenny and Johnny actually get married? And Sally remained coy with the answer.
She did say: “I think things have happened, and most of the time she’s reacted off the scale, because she’s had to have the joint wedding and was saddled with having Gemma as a bridesmaid.
“The wedding is so important. She doesn’t have many friends on the street. It’s going, ‘I am here, look at me, my life is wonderful from where it was a couple of years ago,’ and that’s a statement.
“Plus she loves Johnny, hugely. I think she might reassess things and think who’s important and what’s important.”
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV.
